Which test result was most surprising to you? For me, it was definitely the ability of Pinterest pins to rank a page. I was also surprised that SENuke and the linke still actually produced results – for better or worse!

  2. I love Senuke X for building links to videos and social profiles like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin. I’m on page 1 for ‘backlinks’ with a Youtube video by using Senuke for backlinks. lol

  3. I love your videos – I always feel a bit overwhelmed afterwards, but I can’t help but admit you’re right, content is key.

  4. how do you “pin” an image from a blog post? plugin for that?

also, where can we find the frame breaker code for making people land on your actual site when they find your image through Google Images search…. SUPER helpful stuff Michelle!

Get a Pinterest account. They’ll walk you through the steps of using their service.

For the framebreaking, just Google it – you’ll find the code. If you’re on WordPress, search WordPress.org/extend/ for a plugin.

  5. Awesome Vid first one of yours I’ve watched in ages. Always feel like I take a lot of useful info away from your vid.

  8. Hey Michelle, tried clicking the Tribe Spotter Software as suggested, but it takes me to an opt-in page … which won’t allow me to opt-in again – so, no closer to said software :( It sounds great though!!

  9. Hi Michelle, i was wondering how many different keywords did you use for the senuke gig and was it directed to the mainpage..

    • Author
Michelle MacPhearson July 26, 2012 Reply

That was directed at the homepage. The gig allowed for 10 keywords, I used all 10 to keep it as varied as possible.

      • great thank you. will order a few towards some old sites. see what gains i receive..

  10. Love your Vid’s Michelle, you always give such good value for FREE although i am on your course and monthly subscription still love these as well You are Amazing and just Thanks. Di naughtypartys.com

Well just do not understand all this and just to confusing. So how long will it be before this program will be outdated because of Googles policies?

  12. Michelle, how long ago were these tests done, and did anything change after these tests? For example you said a week after using the Fiverr SEnuke gig your site shot up in rankings…but did it stay there or was it just a temporary boost and then your rank decreased again? I don’t mean just the SEnuke example, all of them. And yes thank you, I am learning a lot from these videos. :)

  13. Michelle, wonderful information as usual. I have been a synnd member for a couple of years now and find the slow drip excellent for ranking my pages. My next efforts are definitely going to be pinterest.I have dabbled a little but now that I have a new site I want to see if I can get the page rank with pins from my site.

    Hi, Michelle!
I’ve studied the video and according to my metrics,
social interaction brings somewhere around +30% traffic.
On the Romanian market, where I’m running my business, backlinking works slow, but steadily
and using creatively social media, improves the overall ranking.
I actually wrote some articles pointing that I have sites that instead of being “penalised”
    by Penguin, have been ranked.
    Thanks for sharing stats!
It somehow make more sense to me than describing strategies.
Maybe because I’m more a visual learner.

  15. Great insights Michelle, really interesting stuff though somewhat distracted as you must be the “hottest” Internet Marketer around ;-)

  16. Hi Michelle,

Nice info. You show an example of a panda/penguin damaged site that was not helped with social addr but what route would you go for sites that have been damaged senuke/pinterest etc?

    Thanks

    Vince

  17. I was surprised by your Pinterest results. I have not done much with it but after your testing will give it much effort. Thanks for the video.

  20. As always , thanks for the amazing content, tips and tricks Michelle. 2 questions: 1: can you disclose the “framebreaker” plug in you use? I see a few out there, wondering which one you use, is it hard to implement into a wp blog? 2: LOVE the opening and closing music to your videos , do you have a title for the music? Thanks, Mike

Hi Michelle, Wow! Love the impact of Pinterest. Impressed you caught it. Goes right back to why explain to clients the value of having a quality image on each of their posts.

As an aside, what are you using to do you measurements? Google Analytics?

Thanks again . . .learning lots!

    Theresa 8-)

  22. Great video and I can’t believe how much you look like Katy Perry with your make-up and hair done like that! :)

  23. Steve Hawkins July 30, 2012 Reply

hey michelle, noticed your bounce rate in the stats on the video was pretty high, which will affect how high you can rank that site in the google result.. I can give you some tips on that if you wish?

Being doing a lot of panda / penguin recoveries for companies the past 7 month…

    Cheers

Ha ha ha ha ha! It’s when people click “Back” that’s it bad news for your SEO. When people leave your site after one page view because they clicked an affiliate link, Adsense ad, etc. it just means you’re doing everything right. ;-)

  24. Hi Michelle

Useful info! But did you ever find a way to unslap a Penguin slapped page?

    Cheers!

    Alex

  25. Hi Michelle, thanks for this info. I wonder if you have tested for domain match. Is it still a good idea?

  26. Michelle,

Great videos, as always! Question about the SENUKE campaign, did you shoot the links to the homepage or internal pages?

  27. Jason Dinner August 8, 2012 Reply

Michelle – seriously you are bad ass when it comes to SEO. Anyone who is on the fence would be crazy to not give you a try.

P.S. – Did you get my email? lol

I did and I replied to your email – twice!

  28. Hi Michelle: Ive been keepin tabs on you since I think like 2007 when I first did the 30 day Challenge.

anyway, I had about 400 sites get hit by Penguin. However not all got hit I have about another 600 that did not that are basically the same exact strategy as the 400 that did.

I was using a blend of manual link building using my team in the Philipines (press release distribution, forum posting and article marketing) and also adding on automated link building solutions (BMR, AMW, backlink Solutions, backlinks ninja and others).

I am a bit confused on what to do now. I have been testing some things… afer Penguin but had originally thought everything I was doing was crap. And all the links would eventually be deindexed.

I own SENuke X but am scared to use it.

soooooo……long story short.. do shortcuts still work in your opinion or do I need to be more white hat (whatever that means). I would love to use automation again… just not sure if it still works.

PS – I still see blog farms or blog networks working. However, I was using them and got slapped. But my competition is using them and it IS working. Today I hate Google. But am determined to find a new solution.
wanna give any really good advice? email me? Ill buy you a drink and…????

Hi Todd – I obviously can’t speak to your unique circumstances but I can say that perhaps the issue you had that your competition is not having is with anchor text. Over optimized anchor text was more a factor in Penguin than the actual source of the links.

  29. Michelle,

Thank you for the insight about the tweet being the anchor text and the image captions being the anchor text as far as Google is concerned…

I enjoy the free content you’re providing michelle. Especially your personal results. That separates you from alot of marketers. I had one question though. You had two questions about senuke links being shot at your site. Why did you reply in one instance the homepage and another instance internal page? Please clarify.

  33. Hi Michelle,
Great info as always! Thank you :) I just have 1 question, is there an article or webpage with summarized written content? I think some bullet points would really help to keep up with all the info. It’s a lot of work, I know but it would be very useful. Thank you again!
