Logged on to a full inbox today, but immediately clicked on your mail for the next Renegade StartUp video – it’s just brilliant and big thanks for sharing the Pinterest plug in and all the information on how to make best use of it, just so useful. I knew about Pinterest and have always seen how it can work well for businesses/products/services where there’s an obvious use for stunning images eg, interior design, which has really taken off on Pinterest, and many others. I’ve been less clear how it can be used in the internet marketing world/coaching world, which is where I’m at. So, your point about using great images in blog posts, regardless of the content, to break it up, make it interesting etc of course makes total sense – light bulb moment for me today duh!!
Thanks so much again Michelle – great video and very generous plug in.
I agree!
I’ve also always seen the potential with Pinterest for business that use images. I’m a web designer and brand developer so Pinterest is a fantastic place to share my portfolio and generate leads.
Great video you always provide excellent content. I am going to change my perspective and start using Pinterest and your pluggin on my amazon sites, Thank you.
Hi there, Thanks for this but having some issues. Tried to use this today on two of my blogs but unfortunately it broke the character sets (something to do with latin and utf8) leaving weird characters everywhere in my blogs. I deactivated the plugin and all is fine but would be great if you could fix it.
Hi Michelle, very interesting this plugin and all the information in your video, Many thanks. I’ve checked the plugin in various blogs: lawyer, personal coaching, education, and works fine except the same problem that mentions Louisa concerning the character sets. In my case I’m using it for blogs in language spanish and, for example, if I write the word “película” I’ll get “pelÃcula”
I’ve dowloaded the plugin from this page and the versión it’s 0.8
Could you fix it in any way?
Thanks a lot in advance. Jose Ramon
Not sure re: other languages. However, there was na update today (Version 0.9) that addresses some probs ppl had re: conflicts with other plugins. Give it a whirl!
I am just wondering what you have for us on your next video. I never learnt so much about SEO. What many Gurus do not want us simple mortals to understand. You break down in such way that makes very easy to implement. Thank You so much
Thanks for the content and the plugin! I just tried the plugin on my blog and it appears that the ‘pin it’ button only works for the first image. Is that correct? Maybe you recommend only one image per post..??
My Bad! I thought the second image was above the minimum but it was only 142 pixels high. When I increased the height from 142 to 155 pixels, the Pin It icon now appears.
Michelle, love the content and the freebies. I definitely plan on using the pin-it plug in. Would like to make a small suggestion to increase the functionality of the plug-in. Since you have shown that the caption on an image pinned in Pinterest is so important, I would like to have the option to choose either the actual image caption of the image on my blog OR the post’s title to be used as the Pinterest caption.
I have been using a Pinit plugin on my blogs but not one that reacts with pics like yours… so of course I installed it! Great! Although, while it is working as far as displaying over the pics it is printing the following error message at the very top of my posts:
Warning: DOMDocument::loadHTML() [domdocument.loadhtml]: Tag fb:like invalid in Entity, line: 5 in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/appsforipads.net/wp-content/plugins/hover-pin-it/pin-it-buttons.php on line 47
Warning: DOMDocument::loadHTML() [domdocument.loadhtml]: Tag g:plusone invalid in Entity, line: 6 in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/appsforipads.net/wp-content/plugins/hover-pin-it/pin-it-buttons.php on line 47
I logged out of my WP account so I could take a look at it from my reader’s perspective and it still shows.
It is also keeping my Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share WP Plugin from displaying anything other than Tweet… and drops the Facebook and Google+ boxes.
I went and tried it on a 2nd site just to see if it is theme related.
While it does NOT display that error message it is again messing with the Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share WP Plugin and only loads the Tweet box.
Any ideas? I would LOVE to use your plugin but I had to deactivate it on both sites for now.
Thanks for any feedback you may have, I am so bummed!
Marge
Warning: DOMDocument::loadHTML() [domdocument.loadhtml]: Tag g:plus invalid in Entity, line: 18 in /home/over/public_html/wp-content/plugins/hover-pin-it/pin-it-buttons.php on line 47.
I don’t have the share wp plugin. I do have the Get Social plugin (same as Digg Digg) but it still throws the error message even if I turn Get Social off, so it probably isn’t that.
I’d love to use it too, but have to turn it off for now.
Watch all three videos great information and giveaways. Looking forward to last video to see what else you have to help us market our sites with seo. Thank you
Yeah for finding you! AND double yeah for you being where you could be found.
Thank you for all, I love the audio feedback. Tribe Spotter, Pin-it. Are you a fairy godmother?

again, Thank you!

Love the plug in…it installed real easy…however I’m getting a warning message:
Warning: DOMDocument::loadHTML() [domdocument.loadhtml]: Tag fb:like invalid in Entity, line: 1 in /home/content/m/i/c/michellesimms/html/wp-content/plugins/hover-pin-it/pin-it-buttons.php on line 47
too bad because I really wanted to use this…is there a patch or fix?
Videos you have provided are great…not to mention the Tribe Spotter Software.
Just a note on the plugin. I have ‘purchased’ several that no longer work with my new preferred theme. Then came along Michelle and gave me one free. And it Works!
From Market Samurai to all the info you share, you seem to be one of those who have stuck to your standards and didn’t give in this last year.
Hi Michell, he plugin works great, but I get “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” when I click on the plugin setting. Do I need to change folder permissions or what else could be causing the problem? Thanks!
I hope to use it in quite a few niches, including art, feng shui, butterflies, dragonflies, hummingbirds, blog design, healthcare (books), aquariums, book publishing, hobbies, and many more.
Hi Michelle – I have seen your email about the plugin update, but not sure how you update from a zip file. Is it possible to update from inside wordpress, as is the case with other plugins, where they tell you there is an update there? If not, I’d be grateful for some instruction as to what I do with the zip file…
Works for me now, error message gone, but only works on some images.
It doesn’t work on an image that is added to the post using the “Post image and thumbnail” function in add post, but it does work on images uploaded via the media and added to the post by the add image button in the visual editor.
I’ve tried it both with frame around it and no frame using the “Post image and thumbnail” function, but it won’t work with either, so it’s not the frame. As that’s my top image on the post it’s the one more likely to be pinned, but won’t work with that image at all, for me.
Whoops, spoke too soon. I’ve just noticed that my google plus button has now disappeared. I have a link to my google plus account at the foot of each post and it’s gone.
Turn hover plugin off and it’s back, turn it on and it’s gone again, so clearly a conflict. Shame as I like it, but have to disable it again.
Michelle – I have a question regarding using photos on Pinterest. I understand how to use my own photos – photos that I have taken and have ownership of to utilize on Pinterest. My question is – is it okay to use free stock photos or purchase stock photos, use them on my site and then have then pinned on Pinterest. It’s the pinning of the photo and having other people repin the photo virally. Is there a problem with that regarding licensing with the stock photography? Or is there a place where I can obtain high quality, visually attractive photos with full license to have them get repinned with no legal or ownership issues?
Michelle great information as always and this plug-in is huge. Thank you for sharing this for FREE to the people that fellow your blog. I’ve seen a plug-in like this for sale not to long ago at some crazy price like $27.00 or something like that. You are the best! I’ll have this on all my sites today!
I just became a Pinner a couple of days ago. I haven’t had a Pinit button on any of my sites, so this perfect. The Hover Pinit Button is up and running; no hitches! Thank you Michelle!

Thanks for the heads-up Louisa – it’s fixed! Deactivate it, delete it and redownload it from here and you’ll be all set.

Nope David, it’s for WordPress – as I show in the video.

Looks like a conflict with the Share WP Plugin Marge.
What a bummer… I was really looking forward to using your plugin.
Yes same for me as for Marge.

Thanks for the plugin! Can you tell us what other plugins are you using with this one so we don’t have further problems?
Thanks for sharing yet another helpful tips. I would suggest you also make a written post of the video as well. I prefer reading to watching videos.
Michelle
Looks like my first post didnt make it?? However Louisa had the same issues and that seems to be resolved now. No more squiggly characters.
Big issue for me though is that it only works on some of my images. The pin it button is there but won’t click on most of my images.
See for yourself here – This one works http://www.bardsleyphotography.co.uk/portrait-photography/
but none of these do – http://www.bardsleyphotography.co.uk/blog/pet-photography/pet-photography-tilly-and-talulah-pet-photographer-2/

Hmm.. I’m using a theme/plugin combo called Portfolio, but the plugin doesn’t seem to want to work with it. Any ideas? Scott
Thanks so much Michelle. The plugin looks awesome.

Is there some HTML code for the plug in available for us non-WP users?
No Patrick, sorry.
I hope to use it in quite a few niches, including art, feng shui, butterflies, dragonflies, hummingbirds, blog design, healthcare (books), aquariums, book publishing, hobbies, and many more.
Had hoped the new update would solve all my problems! DRAT!!!
The error messages are gone but it still is stealing the Facebook and Google+
icons from the “Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share” plugin!
DRAT, DRAT and double DRAT!
(not what I really wanted to say…)
